Fiodar Mirzayanau: “We shall win!”

Fiodar Mirzayanau, a political prisoner, has been visited by lawyer in “Vauchynyja nory” penal colony.

The meeting was held in presence of staffer of the colony. As it turned out, Fiodar stays in quarantine as before. The fourth week of their stay in quarantine has started. As stated by a representative of the colony, his long stay in quarantine had been caused by a necessity of deep and in-depth study of Fiodar’s personality. A psychologist and colony staff are involved in executing this important strategic task, ucpb.org reports.

The lawyer told to Fiodar’s parents that he had received many letters from his family, friends, well-known politicians, and he answered to all of them. However, it is one-way correspondence yet. Fiodar’s letters are not received by addressees.

Liudmila Mirzayanava is looking for letters form Fiodar and she says: “I have an impression that “Vauchynyja nory” (“Wolves’ dens”) is situation in tundra or on Kolyma, not in the forest near Ivatsevichy, and letters are transported by Huskies, not by cars.”

While the informational blockage continues, Fiodar has established good relations with prisoners in quarantine. In his leisure time he studies English. He reads a lot. However, because of long stay in semi-dark cells of the remand prison on Valadarski Street, eyesight of the political prisoner has deteriorated again. He asked to bring him new glasses. In general, Fiodar does not have health complaints, and as noted by the lawyer, “he radiates confidence.”

As said by Fiodar, the issue of his pardon is not relevant. The political prisoner had refused to cooperate with investigators and sign a text about the version of the events offered to him, with a smile asked to tell his parents that “he feels out of reach of danger in the colony”. Just like in his native country. And that “we shall win.”
