Dzmitry Bulanau: I would not ask for pardon (Video)

21

Mother of the political prisoner has told about her meeting with her son in the colony with a reinforced regime on the eve of his birthday. Dzmitry celebrated his 28th birthday in the colony.

In an interview to Belsat TV Channel Klaudziya Bulanava said: the first thing my son said during the meeting is that he is not going to sign a petition for pardon. “I understand him, his decision,” the woman said. “I wrote him in the first letter to prison: Dzmitry, you haven’t been a criminal, you are not one, and will never be one.”

“I told him: my son, I am proud of you. It is hard to endure all this. When there is injustice, when one understands that he is innocent, one should keep up one’s end. When I saw him in the court, I found something new in my son,” the political prisoner’s mother stressed. “A child is always a child for his mother, even when he has grown up. And there I saw an adult, who can reason soundly, who can stay calm. He is not nervous, he does not toad. His behaviour was dignified. And this dignity shows that he is mature as a man, as a personality.”

After the events of December 19 Dzmitry Bulanau served 10 days of administrative arrest. Then policemen demanded him to come for interrogation, but Dzmitry refused to do so without a summons. Soon he was charged with organising mass riots. Judge Lyudmila Hrachova issued a ruling to imprison him for 3 years. Dzmitry is serving the sentence in a colony with a reinforced regime.
