The popular website prokopovi.ch, offering currency exchange services, has been unavailable for the second day.
As the site's owner explained to tut.by, the Internet resource contributing to formation of an unofficial exchange rate in Belarus, faced a DDoS attack.
“The site faced a DDoS attack an hour ago. It is overloaded with incoming requests. The attackers tested their forces yesterday during ten minutes and switched to full capacity today. Our administrator is doing his best to resist, but we are limited in resources. We turned off the server so far,” the owner of the website said.
As reported earlier, the General Prosecutor's Office expressed its displeasure with the site's activity relating the illegal foreign cash exchange.
The General Prosecutor's Office issued a ruling restricting access to the Internet resource promoting illegal activity in cash exchange. The restriction affected governmental bodies. The prosecutor's office thinks that the website sets unreasonable exchange and conversion rates that do not correspond the exchange rates in banks.
We remind that Lukashenka promised some days ago to take serious steps to solve the foreign currency problem by the end of August.
