Police officers came to the house of Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu, a presidential candidate and leader of Tell the Truth campaign yesterday at 8:40 pm.
They handed in a summons to politician’s wife Volha obliging Nyaklyaeu to appear in the Leninski district police department of Minsk at noon today, September 29, zapraudu.info informs.
An hour before, a district police office visited Alyaksandr Fyaduta, the deouty head of Tell the Truth campaign.
“The simultaneous inspection seems to be caused by Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu’s visit to the Eastern Partnership summit in Warsaw. International activity of the leader of Tell the Truth campaign irritates the authorities. Especially taking into account that the number of contacts Mr Nyaklyaeu has during the summit is much higher than the head of the Belarusian delegation, foreign minister Martynau, would have.
We remind that on May 20, 2011, the Frunzenski district court of Minsk gave Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu two years’ suspended sentence. The politician remains under surveillance of the law enforcement bodies.
