Zmitser Bandarenka has gout exacerbation

A lawyer visited the political prisoner today in the Mahilou penal colony.

The lawyer visited the colony because Zmitser Bandarenka did not phone last week as he was expected.

Volha Bandarenka, the wife of the coordinator of European Belarus civil campaign, told charter97.org it turned out some of diseases of Zmitser Bandarenka aggravated. In particular, his gout and spine problems aggravated because he is not allowed to lie and can only sit or stand.

“I am happy he can use at least a walking stick and comfortable shoes,” Volha Bandarennka says.

We remind that Zmitser Bandarenka, who was sentenced to two years in prison after the 2010 presidential election, underwent a serious neurosurgery in prison. He applied for a pardon on February 1, but has not been released.
