Zmitser Bandarenka’s file viewed in penal colony

The results will be known only on February 9.

On February 8, the parole board studied political prisoner Zmitser Bandarenka’s file in Mahilou penal colony No. 15.

Zmitser Bandarenka applied for a pardon on February 1. The conclusions of the parole board can influence his future, Radio Svaboda reports.

The conclusions of the parole board will be announced on February 9, the penal colony informs:

“Please, call tomorrow morning. The board will have a sitting today, but it will end late.”

Volha Bandarenka, Zmitser’s wife, does not know if sitting of the parole board was necessary for granting a pardon. She does not rule out a possibility her husband appeared before the board in connection with the release on parole. He was denied parole two times before.

“He may be released not only on a pardon. If they have an order from above, he may be released on parole. I do not rule out this possibility.”
