Zmitser Dashkevich again thrown to punishment cell

Administration of the penitentiary says Zmitser Dashkevich refuses to obey prison guards.

Dashkevich's friends suppose it was a provocation against the Young Front leader, Radio Racyia reports.

According to political prisoner's fiancee, Anastasia Palazhanka, Dashkevich wrote in his latest letter he was prepared for such a situation and did not ruled out he would be sent to a punishment cell. A lawyer visited Dashkevich in the punishment cell.

“Information appeared that Dashkevich was in a punishment cell again. A particular reason is unknown, but he is said to refuse to fulfill prison guards' demands. We do not know how long he has to spend there. He wrote in every letter that he would be thrown into a punishment cell again,” Anastasia says.

Zmitser Dashkevich has been placed into the punishment cell in Hlybokaye penitentiry for the third time in the last few months.

According to Anastasia Palazhanka, the prison administration did not allow the lawyer to talk to the prisoner face-to-face. They talked through a glass barrier in the presence of a prison guard.
