Belarusian MFA blackmails EU

The question on the return of EU ambassadors to Minsk will be discussed only if sanctions against the Belarusian regime are not imposed.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus links the return of European ambassadors to Minsk to a decision of the EU on new sanctions.

“It's reasonable to suggest that the return of European ambassadors cannot be discussed today if the EU continues to threaten to introduce new sanctions on March 23. Let's wait till this date and then we will look for solutions also regarding the return of the ambassadors,” the statement of Maria Vanshyna, the head of the Belarusian MFA press service and deputy head of the information department, says. The statement was published on the website of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She also notices the Belarusian MFA does not have information concerning a desire of the EU to take a decision on returning their ambassadors to Minsk.
