Zhanna Litvina was not allowed to leave Belarus due to “debts”

Such a document has been issued to the chairperson of the Belarusian Association of Journalists by the Citizenship and migration department.

According to the document, Litvina is a debtor. The Justice Ministry informed of that about the head of the journalistic organization on March 5.

As noted by a lawyer Andrei Bastunets, such information could be filed by the ministry only in case when a court started a bankruptcy process, the BAJ press-service informs.

We remind that recently a number of oppositional politicians, journalists and human rights activists were prohibited leaving Belarus. On March 1 he chief of the office for legislative execution and legality of legal acts of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Pavel Radzivonau, said opposition activists calling to impose sanctions against the Belarusian regime may be restricted to leave the country.
