One of lecturers of Minsk state machine-building college has addressed the editorial office of charter97.org website.
They informed that under the verbal order of the Education directorate of Minsk city executive committee, the director of the educational institution ordered them to make all students sign documents stating they would not take part in the mass rally on Freedom Day March 25. A professor managed to make a picture of one of such papers secretly, by a mobile phone.
The deputy director of the college on ideology issues is responsible for “singing documents on non-participation”. Students are explained that the administration of the college does not prohibit taking part in the rally on Freedom Day, but those who would be spotted at the rally, would be expelled.
Surprisingly, in the blanks the administration of Minsk state machine-building college name the Freedom Day rally “unsanctioned” meeting, though the mass event on March 25 is officially sanctioned by Minsk city executive committee. As said by the interlocutors of charter97.org, future turners and fitters of Minsk tractor plant (the college educates students for it) give signatures unwillingly, but they do not want tensions with the administration either. In any case, none refused to sign the paper.
Reports are, an analogous instruction by Minsk city executive committee has been received by other vocational education institutions and secondary educational institutions of Minsk today.
