Andrei Mouchan, a “European Belarus” activist, brutally beaten up by policemen, is to be discharged from Minsk Emergency Hospital on May 25 in the afternoon.
He told about that to Radio Svaboda.
“I was told during doctor’s round, that I am discharged today. I was told that I am to go to the out-patient hospital according to my place of residence. I am to be followed up by a nerve specialist. The doctor glanced through my past medical history in front of my eyes. Recorded I had several bruises. Not all of them, just a few. He noted knees and hands were beaten. The eye specialist had not visited me anymore,” Mouchan said.
Andrei Mouchan also told that after an evening phone call from the police on May 23, he was not disturbed by them anymore.
The activist said that it was worth it.
“The main thing, it has yielded some results. There are still many people suffering behind the bars. And they need support most of all.”
On May 19 Andrei Mouchan unfurled a white-red-white flag near Pershamajski supermarket in Uruchcha district in solidarity with Syarhei Kavalenka. Policemen detained him and brutally beaten up. According to the preliminary consultation of the doctor, Andrei had a traumatic brain injury, his lower jaw bone and ribs were fractured, his kidney and legs injured by beating.
