The political prisoner got a new cellmate with AIDS-diagnosis who spilled blood in the cell.

Maryna Adamovich, the wife of the former presidential candidate, told the news in the video message sent to www.charter97.org.

According to Maryna Adamovich, this week the prison administration has once again tried to make the political prisoner submit an appeal for pardon. When he refused, the administration gave him a new cellmate with AIDS-diagnose. Statkievich demanded to move the new cellmate to another cell, but the guards in masks (masked guards tortured the political prisoners in the KGB jail after 19 December 2010) ignored his demands. As a result, the sick cellmate left the cell only after he had cut his veins open and spilled blood all over the cell. There was a high risk of contamination.
