The Ministry of Defense is refusing to believe its own eyes

Despite obvious proofs, the ministry does not recognize the crossing of the border by the Swedish aircraft.

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus does not intend to comment the new video of the Swedish studio “Total” which is proving the illegal crossing of the border by the plane full of toys.

“There will be no additional comments. The inspection will be going on”, - stated to BelaPAN the Head of the Press-Service of the Ministry of Defense, Sergei Kuzmenkov.

There are also no comments about the video from the State Border Committee.

Recall, in the morning of July 13 an hour and a half video of the Swedish PR-company “Total” appeared in the web, showing the flight of a single-engine plane with the activists of the company to the Belarus territory from the territory of Lithuania. The flight over Lithuanian territory took about 50 minutes, over Belarusian – before approaching CHP-4 – about 40 minutes. The video starts with the plane’s takeoff from some airport. The flight takes place early in the morning, and the rising sun is almost all the time in the upper right corner of the picture, what means that the plane moves to the South-East, which is logical if to fly from Lithuania to Minsk.

After the 48th minute, the picture of the land changes, and cultivated fields with their scale are more like to Belarusian. Experts believe that somewhere around this time the border between Lithuania and Belarus has been crossed. The place of crossing (apparently, it is the Ivie district of Grodno region where Lithuania is deeply wedged in the Belarusian territory) looks like the picture of the territory, presented on the satellite Google maps.  

At the same time, it is seen that the plane is moving not at the minimal altitude, as it was stated by the participants of the Swedish action, but on the altitude from 300 to 500 meters. In that case, believe experts, the means of Air Defense should have detected a violation of the border. Recall, however, that Belarusian military stated from the very beginning of the incident that no violation had been detected.
