In Kyrgyzstan demands to expel the Belarusian Ambassador

Authorities of the country were offered "evacuate" the Belarusian Embassy.

Meken Sheyitteri public association has made an official appeal to the President, the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament demanding to evacuate Belarus Embassy from the country as the chair of the association Arstanbek Sagyndykov told 24.kg news agency.

He says, “During last meeting the embassy’s officials promised to inform about progress made on the extradition of Bakiyevs and their confidants each three days”. “According last information Belarus definitively refused Kyrgyzstan in this matter. Therefore we decided to apply officially to the authorities,” he said.

Arstanbek Sagyndykov said also that Meken Sheyitteri, Aikol Ala-Too and Aprel Bairagy are going to hold next peaceful rally in front of Belarus Embassy in Kyrgyzstan on Monday, September 10.

Recall, on August 28, members of Meken Sheyitteri and Aikol Ala-Too public associations hold a peaceful rally in front of the Embassy of Belarus in Kyrgyzstan. They demanded extradition of Bakiyevs and their confidants. Later leaders of these organizations met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Askar Beshimov and Belarus Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Viktor Denisenko. As a result of negotiations diplomats promised to inform every three days through the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry how Bakiyevs’ extradition issue is being addressed.

On September 5, the chief of the Criminal Investigation Office (CIO), Umar Zhunusov, told the news conference that CIO of the Interior Ministry requested Belarus many times to allow conducting investigative work in Minsk. “But we don’t have such agreement with Belarus and its Prosecutor General’s Office doesn’t grant Kyrgyz detectives a permission for their detention,” he said.
