Political prisoner Prakapienka deprived of meeting

The reason for the cancellation of a long-term meeting is unknown.

There are heating irregularities in the cell of Arciom Prakapienka in the penal colony number 15 in Mahilou. The charter97.org web-site learnt about that from his father Anatol Prakapienka.

“There are no especially good news from son. He has fallen sick, but he is better now. We sent him a parcel with clothes, because he caught a cold because of bad heating in the prison”, - political prisoner’s father said.

Anatol Prakapienka pointed out that the next meeting with son will not take place soon.

“Another meeting was supposed to take place only in two months. A long term meeting was supposed to be now, but Arciom was deprived of it. It is unknown why”, - he emphasized.

We would remind that Arciom Prakapienka was sentenced together with Jauhien Vaskovich and Paviel Syramalotau to seven years in prison for an attempted arson of the doors of the KGB office in Babrujsk. In September last year Paviel Syramalotau was released after having written a plea for pardon addressed to Lukashenka. Arciom Prakapienka and Jauhien Vaskovich refuse to do the same.
