Domracheva gets bronze in mass start race

Domracheva gets bronze in mass start race

The Belarusian biathlete had to literally pull the medal out - she outrun France's Anaïs Bescond at the last hill before finish.

The mass start race concluded another stage of the world cup, which took place in Holmenkollen, Norway. Norwegian Tora Berger won the race, Anastasia Kuzmina from Slovakia came second.

Darya Domracheva had to run three penalty loops and this prevented her from catching up with her main rival - Tora Berger. The bronze medal did not increase Darya's chances to get the Small Crystal Globe in this discipline as Berger preserved the advantage in points.

Another Belarusian, Nadzeya Skardzina finished 18th and this is her best mass start race result.
