Traffic Police To Send Special Unit To One Of Belarusian Regions

The State Traffic Inspectorate of Belarus promised to strengthen control over compliance with traffic rules on roads and in rest areas on May 4 and 5. They planned to send a special unit of the road patrol service “Arrow” to one of the regions.

Also, the road patrol units, according to the traffic inspectorate, will patrol places of religious events where Easter is celebrated. As the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus said, inspectors will pay “priority attention” to “timely identification of drunk drivers and people without driver’s licenses.”

In addition, they promised to take additional measures to suppress violations by cyclists. The raid groups of the special traffic police unit “Arrow” were planned to be sent to the “most emergency areas” of the Brest region.
