There are no doubts that the same people took part in the kidnappings of Natalia Sheleh and FEMEN activists.
Such an opinion came from a coordinator of the European Belarus civic campaign Viktar Ivashkievich as he commented for the charter97.org web-site on the kidnapping of the daughter of Babrujsk entrepreneurs’’ leader Viachaslau Sheleh.
“The thing is that if there had earlier been threats, connected to the political and civic activities of her farther, then the kidnapping was done by those who had threatened. Only the supporters of the regime can demand to stop acting against the regime. Yet again they do not do anything without an instruction from above, this is their characteristic feature. One may only guess, from what level of the hierarchy this order came. Probably, at the top they ordered to take measures, and locally they decided exactly how to do that”, - the politician believes.
He emphasized that special services already practiced taking people to a forest and pouring paint on them on FEMEN activists as those came to Belarus, it is only that then they also shaved one of the activists bold.
“Coming from that, one can say that there is a series of crimes committed by the special services, and it is now hard to find those, who did that. In any case, to the prosecutor office and Investigation Committee’s question “Whim do you suspect?” one must answer “Special services and Lukashenka’s administration”, - the European Belarus’ coordinator noted.
He added that when committing something like that not only special services do not use the uniform and official certificates, they even do not use the so-called legal repression methods, but engage in actual crimes.
“Today they take someone to a forest and put paint on them, and tomorrow they bury them there. The style of the death squads is evident here, which are coming back to open and tough methods. Most likely the order was given to quiet down after the kidnapping. The squads were used against criminal leaders and businessmen, against the people, who at the moment were considered harmful and unreliable. There are many examples of illegal pressure. There is only one step for coming back to the radical measures”, - Viktar Ivashkievich summed up.
We would remind that on 27 July Natalia, a 16-year old daughter of an entrepreneur and civic activist Viachaslau Sheleh from Babrujsk, was kidnapped and beaten.
