MFA of Moldova confirms kidnapping of Moldovan national

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova confirms information about holding Moldovan national Carina Coltsa captive in Syria.

The news agency Novosti-Moldova says MFA officials are trying to reach her family.

Earlier, a video showing two women, Moldovan national Carina Coltsa and Belarusian Sviatlana Markiyanavich (Svetlana Markiyanovich), taken captive in Syria appeared on the internet. They said they arrived in the country pretending to be journalists to work for Hezbollah – a Lebanon-based group that supports the government in the Syrian conflict.
