CEC’s member fell victim to junkie?

The close ones of the murdered Sviatlana Khinievich put forward such a version.

“Sviatlana lived in Zhukouskaha Street in Minsk in a usual house. At the same stair landing as her there lived a woman with a son. The women were neighbors and friends. Moreover, this neighbor was Sviatlana son’s godmother”, - a source, close to the victim, told Radio Svaboda.

“The godmother also had a son. He was a junkie. That is why when I found out that Sviatlana had her throat cut, and there were several dozen cuts on her body, I thought that a person could do that, who was in some specific condition at the moment.

My suspicions grew stronger, when I found out that the guy cut his veins and stomach. For what I know he is currently at a resuscitation department”, - the interlocutor adds.

The secretary of the Central Electoral Commission Mikalaj Lazavik refused to comment on that version. He said that he spoke to the investigators dealing with the case, and they did not provide any information that far, limiting themselves with words “Investigation is being held”.

Mikalaj Lazavik said that Sviatlana Khinievich’s funeral took place on 7 Augist. She was buried at Kalvaria cemetery near father.
