Yauhen Vaskovich sent to solitary cell

The political prisoner experiences pressure in Mahilyou prison #4.

As representatives of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party have learnt that after a wave of public support, Yauhen Vaskovich, a political prisoner, who had been under pressure of the administration of Mahilyou prison #4 exerted by the hands of other prisoners, was transferred to a solitary confinement cell.

We remind that BCD activists from Minsk, Babrujsk and Mahilyou have applied for staging pickets in support of Vaskovich.

Vaskovich was sentenced to 7 years’ imprisonment on charges related to attempt to set on fire the door of Babrujsk KGB branch. He was thrown to a punishment cell many times. Later the political prisoner was transferred from the colony to Mahilyou prison as “a persistent violator of the custodial control rules.”
