Participants of memorial events to honor Zhyzneuski will be tried

Trials of the activists detained yesterday in Minsk will be held in the Court of Tsentralny (Central) district of Minsk.

Yulia Stsiapanava, the activist of the civil campaign "European Belarus", wrote it on her Facebook page.

"The trial of participants of the protest on the death anniversary of Mikhail Zhyzneuski will be held on January23,2015. Aliaksandr Makaeu, Volha Mikalaichyk, Maksim Viniarski, Yauhen Batura, Aliaksandr Kolas were detained alongside of Taras Shauchenka monument. Participants of the rally laid flowers, sang a hymn "Mighty God" and the national anthem of Ukraine. Volha Mikalaichyk unfurled a big portrait of Mikhail Zhyzneuski then a wine red minivan approached and everybody was detained. They were taken to the police department of the Central district. Yury Vouchyk , Dzmitry Zakharevich and Nina Bahinskaia have just been released. The others were drawn up protocols on and taken to Akhrestsina up to the court hearing. It is known that during the detention Aliaksandr Makaeu was beaten. People in plainclothes beat him in the back", she wrote.

It should be reminded that yesterday it was one year since the death of Belarusian Mikhail Zhyzneuski at the Maidan in Kiev.
