Portraits of the prisoners of conscience were hung out near the Belarusian consulate.
A reader of charter97.org reports about a picket of solidarity with the Belarusian political prisoners that was held in Lviv on February 17. Activists of the Autonomous Resistance group gathered near the consulate of Belarus to protest against repression against political activists and express solidarity with them.
“The presidential elections will be held in Lukashenka's country in six months. The outcome is known beforehand. But the potato baron understands that the example of Maidan can have serious consequences for his rule. For example, informal concerts are being banned even today.
Activist Aliaksandr Frantskevich was thrown into jail for 25 days for disorderly conduct. Mikalai Dziadok, an anarchist, has been in prison for four years. He may get an additional year of imprisonment for violating prison rules.
These events are interconnected. These people can become leaders of the uprising that can give people freedom. Parasites in Belarus don't differ from those in other CIS countries. State rats use all opportunities to keep their place near the feeder. Repressions are stronger then prisons. Glory to the free people of Belarus. Death to the dictator,” the activists wrote.
