Mahileu entrepreneurs: We intend to take streets on March 2

Mahileu entrepreneurs prepare a protest.

Anatol Shumchanka, the Chairman of POO Perspectiva, informed charter97.org.

- Mahileu businessmen are massively submitting zero income tax returns for March. Accordingly, people do not pay taxes and rental fees for March. Since March 1 all shopping centers and markets will be closed. On March 2 at 11:00 businessmen are going to take the central square of the city near Lenin monument.

Besides, it is found out that if residual stocks are not removed from commercial sites since 28 February, they will be confiscated on March 1, he said.

Charter97.org journalist asked Mahileu entrepreneur Aliaksei about current situation in the city and about his colleagues' mood.

- It's a working mood. We have already submitted our zero declarations. Indeed, entrepreneurs are going to take the Lenin Square on March 2 to ask the government to give us a chance to work.

- How many people may participate in the rally?

- It is unpredictable, the rally will be spontaneous. Many, of course, are afraid. The mood differs: some are ready to go all the way, some just close their business, others believe in miracles to experience them and on February 28 they will continue working.

It should be reminded that the Forum of individual entrepreneurs, held in Minsk, did not solve the main task facing its participant to delay the entry into force of Lukashenka's Decree No. 222 which requires having accompanying documents for each unit since 1 March. In a week it will be banned to trade without accompanying documents. In case of violations entrepreneurs will be fined Br9 million and goods will be confiscated. It is already possible to observe demonstrations.

Industry representatives say that as a result thousands of entrepreneurs will be forced to stop their activity, as distribution centers in Russia, the main supplier of goods, do not provide with any certificates.
