The term of selling out goods imported before July 2014 expires on March 1.
Since this day all the goods must be accompanied with relevant documents. Small businesses say that it is impossible as Russia, where they deliver goods from, gives no documents required, Radio Racyja reports.
Iryna Yaskevich, the Chairman of the Trade Union "Vmeste" (Together), says that if terms are not extended, for many it will mean the end of their business.
–More than a half of businessmen will not be able to work as they have 40-100 per cent of residual stock. We will be closed if there are no shifts and crucial decisions made. Another question is how we will do it", she said.
"On the one hand, the Government does not take any steps to resolve the situation, on the other, small businesses themselves do not have enough knowledge required to protect their rights, Siarhei Balykin, the head of the Association of SME. - Small businesses will always have conflicts with tax authorities, as their legal literacy leaves much to be desired. So conflict situations will take place. The State does much so that such situations would be in the future as well. Anyway, authorities do nothing for the situation to change anyhow".
The day before there was a conflict situation in the Southern market of Hrodna. As it became known, tax officers conducted an unscheduled inspection. They wanted to confiscate goods without showing appropriate documents.
Today tax authorities have published the explanation: the trader did not have documents for goods and a warrant was prepared by tax inspection of Leninski district.
