BBC: Lukashenka blocked independent websites again

2

An access to a well-known website, Charter’97, has been blocked by a number of Belarusian internet providers.

Belorusskiy partisan website remains blocked since the end of December, BBC reports.

A familiar address of Charter’97 is turning into a message from ADSL provider (BelInfoNet): “The Internet resource charter97.org is blocked.”

It has been done under the ruling of the Operative and Analytical Centre of Belarus (OAC), passed on February 19, 2015.

A provider recommends with a humorous undertone: “you may buy a hosting and create your own website,” “you can spend time watching online TV.”

An operator of support team signs: “Everything is explained in the message. It is not our decision, we carry out the decision of superior agencies.”

Internet service providers IP Telecom, Life and a number of others also forward those who decided to read “oppositional” news, to an impressive list of official documents, including items and subclauses from Lukashenka’s Decree and directive.

However, unwearying efforts to access a blocked page work out sometimes.
