Statkevich faces tougher regime.
His wife Maryna Adamovich wrote about it on Facebook late in the evening on April 13.
"Mikalai Statkevich will face another trial. The colony administration says that he "has not mended his ways" and "intends to continue criminal pursuits" and his further detention in this high moral institution is impossible", she said.
On April 9 the Commisssion of Shklou colony No. 7 "decided to send him to prison until the end of the term". "The date of the trial is unknown as well as any details. I know that now he has 13 penalties, 10 of them are for refusal to work", his wife writes.
Now, she says, Mikalai Statkevich is in a Ward-type Room with no daylight. He has only a half an hour a day for a walk.
The information about increased pressure became known in early April, when he was drawn up eight acts against within a week for alleged regime violations. The political prisoner was deprived of the short meeting and a food parcel, spent three days in a punishment cell, and on April 3 he was transferred for two months in a Ward-type Room.
Mikalai Statkevich is the only candidate for the Presidency in 2010 who is still imprisoned. In May 2011, Statkevich was sentenced to six years in prison for organizing mass disorder on the day of presidential elections. The international human rights organizations recognized Statkevich as a political prisoner.
The opposition politician initially served his term in Shklou colony No. 17, but in January 2012, conditions of the completion of sentence were tightened and he was sent to Mahileu prison No. 4 for three years. After the expiration of the term on January 12 of the current year, the politician was back to the Shklou colony and where he was drawn up 2 protocols within first two days on violation of regulations.
