Record high number of Russian military hardware to take part in Minsk parade

Modern military hardware of the Russian army will participate in the parade in Minsk on May 9.
T-90 tanks, BTR-80 armoured personnel carriers, Pantsir air defence system and other equipment are expected arrive next week, BelaPAN reports.
“A large number of Russian military hardware from the regional group of forces will take part [in the parade] for the first time,” deputy commander of the North-Western Operation Command Andrei Nekrashevich says. “These are state-of-the-art samples of military hardware, such as BMP-3 and BMD-3 infantry fighting vehicles, Tigr all-terrain infantry mobility vehicles and Msta-B artillery systems.”
A mechanised column of more than 250 vehicles continues to train at Lipki aerodrome.
The rehearsal involving aircraft will will take place on May 4 and 6. The Victory Parade is scheduled for 8 p.m. on May 9. A fireworks display is planned after the parade.
