Mikalai Statkevich: Mice proposals stimulate cat's appetite

Political prisoner and presidential candidate spoke about the upcoming "elections".

His words are quoted on a Facebook account specially created by his colleagues.

"I receive newspapers only once a week. I looked them through and understood that those who nominate their candidates have no idea of a strategy and goal.

I have recently read that one leader believes nomination of "the man who embodies the desire of the world" is the best variant. But it is better to perform it in the country. There will be less expenditures and concerns. It reminds of Leopold the Cat (Soviet/Russian animation series) offering peace to mice. Similar proposals on the part of mice only stimulate the cat's appetite".

It should be reminded that Mikalai Statkevich is waiting for trial for alleged regime violations in the Shklou colony, where he serves his term for organizing mass disorder on the day of presidential elections in December 19, 2010.

The charge of malicious regime violation threatens him with tightening of punishment and transfer to a prison with reinforced regime. Now he is waiting for the trial in a Ward-type Room (WTR). The political prisoner is deprived of food parcels and a short meeting.
