Political prisoner Rubtsou gets acquainted with materials of a new case

On April 22 Yury Rubtsou got acquainted with materials of a criminal case initiated under Article avoidance of serving punishment.

He is charged with four "avoidance of work", Radio Svaboda reports.

Soon the case will be transferred to the Prosecutor's Office and then to court. The date will be known within a month. Yuri Rubcou faces up to three years of imprisonment, Viasna HRC informs.

Now, the political prisoner is in Baranavichy remand prison. He continues a hunger strike. He was not offered a medical examination.

Yury Rubtsou refused to work because of low wages and required to provide him with a medium salary in the country- $600. Political prisoner believes that a new criminal case against him is illegal, as well as criminal case for insulting a judge, for which he has already been convicted.

On October 6, 2014 Tsentralny District court sentensed Yury Rubtsou to a year and a half in an open type institution No. 7 under Art. 391 (insulting a judge or people's assessor). On December 22, 2014 he was transferred to Kuplin village, Pruzhany district.
