Yury Rubtsou's location is unknown

There has been no information from the political prisoner since yesterday. It is possible that he is now in jail.

On Monday morning in special Commandant's Office in the Kuplin,Pruzhany district, Yury Rubtsou was ordered to collect things. He sat in a police car and was taken to the regional Investigative Committee. Against the political prisoner was initiated a criminal case under Article 415 of the Criminal Code (avoidance of serving punishment). He faces up to 3 years in prison, Radio Svaboda reports.

Yesterday Yury Rubtsou made a call from the Investigative Committee of Pruzhany district and said he went on a hunger strike and announced investigation boycott.

After it there is no contact with the political prisoner. His mobile phone is avaliable only in a voice mail mode.

Volha Mikalaichyk who yesterday with other activists came to see Rubtsou says he may be in remand prison now.

"He might be put in the remand prison before the trial. He faces another term, and it may be a real imprisonment. And for the person with his character it will be punishment cells, deprivations of parcels and visits. I know he will never give up", she says.

The Investigative Committee of Pruzhany district could not say anything about the location of Yury Rubtsou.

It should be reminded that Homel activist Yury Rubtsou is sentenced to a year and a half for insulting the judge Kiryl Palulekh of Savetski District court of Minsk. Since the end of 2014 Yury Rubtsou has been serving the punishment in the Kuplin village, Pruzhany district.
