The foreign minister of Poland Witold Waszczykowski presented Konrad Pawlik a decision of Andrzej Duda about his appointment to the post of ambassador in Belarus.

Konrad Pawlik is a professional diplomat. He's been working in Foreign Ministry of Poland since 2007. In 2010-2012 he worked in the Permanent Establishment of Poland at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris. In 2012-2014 he worked as deputy director and then director of the Foreign Ministry's Department on Eastern Europe.

He also took the position of plenipotentiary of Foreign Minister on Eastern Partnership. Last two years, Konrad Pawlik coordinated foreign assistance of Poland, cooperation with Poles abroad, Eastern policy and security issues.

Charter97.org managed to take an exclusive interview with the diplomat.

The new Polish ambassador in Belarus is 39 old. He was born in Warsaw, graduated from the department of international economic and political relations at the School of Economics. In 2001-2006 worked in Denmark and defended his PhD there. He speaks English, Russian, Korean. He is married and has a daughter.
