An attempt to destabilize the situation in Ukraine remains one of the key versions.

The investigation is already handling 6 versions of Pavel Sheremet’s assassination. Advisor to Head of the State Security Service of Ukraine Yuriy Tandit has said this in an interview to 112 Ukraine TV-channel.

“There have become six of them already (versions – editor), I can reveal only the preliminary four,” – Tandit says, having noted that the investigation will also consider the version sounded by MP Serhiy Vysotskiy, who assumed that Sheremet’s murder could become the start for the special operation aimed against the state security of Ukraine.

“What MP Vysotskiy says is very important, I can confirm that one of the key versions handled by the force structures now is an attempt to destabilize the situation inside our state through this assassination. However, they use not just this murder, there will be more news, which, sadly, might be used to demonstrate that there is no real power in Ukraine, that the force structures are incapable of controlling the situation,” – Tandit has shared his opinion.

Previously, Tandit informed that the investigation was dealing with four basic versions: professional activity, hostility in relations or personal motives, the Russian trace (destabilization of the situation), an attempted assassination of Olena Prytula.

Journalist and one of the heads of Ukrayinska Pravda Pavel Sheremet died on Wednesday morning in a car blast. At the moment of the blast he was in the car which belonged to Olena Prytula, Ukrayinska Pravda owner and founding editor.

The explosive which blasted the car with journalist Pavel Sheremet had been placed close to the driver’s seat.

The police have qualified the occurrence under Article “premeditated murder committed in a manner dangerous for the lives of many people”.
