Viktar Rubtsou Released

Homel activists met the blogger after release.

Video-blogger, civil activist from Homel Viktar Rubtsou has been set free, having served a 5-day administrative detention. The blogger’s colleagues by “Rotornaya Zhatka” project Dzmitry Saburau and Artsiom Shaparau, HR defender Leanid Sudalenka and activist of the REP Trade Union Andrei Stryzhak met him on the outside.

The policemen deliberately took Viktar Rubtsou from the detention center ahead of time, to disrupt the solemn meeting.

Important to note, the renown video-blogger was detained for 5 days for the action “I Am No Honest Journalist”, held by the Homel activists in solidarity during the trial against independent journalist Larysa Shchyrakova.
