Time To Take Charge Of Our Own Destiny

The Belarusian National Congress is urging to say “Basta!” to the robbery of people.

The Belarusian National Congress has addressed to the Belarusian people:

A wave of protests against the “social parasites” decree flooded the country’s towns and cities.

The whole world saw that Belarus wants changes. The people are sick and tired of having to live the half-beggarly life, of the false, boorish, corrupt government.

Normal life is not given for nothing. It should be gained in a struggle. We should make the authorities abolish the anti-people decrees and resolutions, we should make them stop picking at our pockets. We need to return the right to choose and change the leaders of the country to the people.

The National Assembly in Minsk has set these demands before the authorities on February 17. These demands were supported by the national assemblies in the regions. However, the authorities seem reluctant to listen to the voice of the people. To make the authorities hear us, we need to speak up once again, gathering in such numbers so that the government would understand: either it fulfills the will of the people, or things will go hard on it.

March 25 is the Belarusian holiday: the Freedom Day. It’s a good day to gather in dozens of thousands in the center of the capital of our country, and powerfully declare the will of the people: “Basta!”

Basta! – to the scornful “social parasites” decree.

Баста! – to the robbery of people.

Баста! - to the cynical theatrical show instead of real elections.

Citizens! Belarusians! It’s time to take charge of your own destiny! Let’s come out to the streets of Minsk on March 25 and show that it’s the people who own this country, not the officials who stole the power!

We expect the people from all over Belarus to come to Minsk on March 25. In the following days, we will come to your cities to make the people’s “Basta!” heard in the whole country.

We need your help in the preparation for the Day of Our Freedom. Tell your friends and the people you know about this day, come and bring them with you.

We will need money for leaflets, sound equipment, for the transportation of the people from the regions, and for the help to the fined. We will organize crowdfunding and address to you for your support.

We are calling on the most active people to join our ranks, to work together for the decent future of our country.

It’s time to unite. It’s time to gather forces.

Power to the people!
