Belarusian National Congress Addresses To Belarusian Citizens For Assistance In Freedom Day Organization

The protests which overtook the whole country in February 2017 showed that the Belarusians were ready to stand for their rights.

Thousands of people in Minsk and many regions said “Basta!” to the worthless economic policy of the authorities, and demanded changes. The pressure on the authorities shouldn’t weaken for a second. The street actions will go on. All of us together, we can make them more massive and achieve real concessions, stated in the address of the Belarusian National Congress.

“We are asking all non-indifferent citizens of Belarus to take part in the organization of the action on the Freedom Day on March 25. We will need money for printing leaflets and stickers, making flags, posters and streamers, to bring the participants of the action to Minsk and regional centers, and for the sound equipment. Contact the coordinators of the Belarusian National Congress in your city, and join the preparation of the action.

We are urging civil activists, bloggers and journalists to express solidarity. Help us distribute the information about the action as broadly as possible. Share your ideas and suggestions — each of them will be heard,” — stated in the message.
