Mikalai Kazlou noted that it's difficult to make the officials, who are not elected but appointed from those loyal to the current regime, work honestly. This requires pressure from the public and the media.

Better arrangement of the burial in Drazdy can be an example that the collective appeal of citizens, active participation of the opposition and coverage of the problem in the press can give a positive result.

One of the participants of the meeting, an elderly man, said that he was a child during the war, but remembers that his father barely managed to get out of the camp in Drazdy. German soldiers detained him having defined on appearance, that he was the Jew. Neighbors helped - they confirmed that he was Russian and persuaded to let him go. Germans placed all Jews in the camp in the "Judah" sector, and later transferred them to the ghetto - there was no more salvation from there.

In addition, the meeting participants are concerned with the major repairs of their homes. They have been transferring a lot of money for the repair monthly for many years already, but, when the time comes to repair the house, it turns out that the funds are not enough.

– They started to repair our house, – one of the visitors tells. – Not just a simple repair, but a repair with modernization. But in fact? What kind of modernization? The cheapest option of repair, which only can be. One wall of the house was insulated, and they have no money for the rest of the walls.
