It has been unknown yet who will head the mission.

Poland's Ambassador Konrad Pawlik finished his mission in Belarus on January 31. It has been unknown yet who will head the mission now. The consultations are in progress.

The fact that Konrad Pawlik terminates his activity in Belarus was reported on January 12, Radio Liberty informs.

Head of the press-center of Poland’s MFA Artur Lempart told about this. He added that the decision was made by former Minister Witold Waszczykowski at the request of Pawlik himself.

According to the Polish media, the non-official reason for Pawlik’s resign was that he failed to establish relations with the represenattives of the Polish diaspora and the management of the Belsat TV-channel. However, Lempart claims there’s no political background in the termination of the mission in Belarus.

Konrad Pawlik was appointed Poland’s Ambassador to Belarus in March 2016.
