The demonstration ended in a scandal.

The demonstration at the monument, at which representatives of the Belarusian Communist Party and the Left Party “Fair World” traditionally gather, ended in a scandal: the communists of different parties argued who of them were “true communists” and who were “traitors”, Radio Liberty reports.

Aliaksandr Dziadzinkin - the first secretary of the Vitsebsk regional committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, the “deputy” of the regional council and the director of the Vitzebsk branch of the international university “MITSO” was the first to broadcast that “the great October gave man the right to life” on the steps of the monument. There were a couple of dozen students at the demonstration, whom Dziadzinkin gave a red carnation into the hands.

After the speeches of the secretaries of the three Vitsebsk district committees and the man, who introduced himself as "the chairman of the Railway Union of Officers," Mikalai Selivashka, head of the regional structure of the left party "Fair World", addressed the audience. Dziadzinkin regarded this speech as a competition for his party. Screaming out “Get out of here, this is not your demonstration!”, he starte throwing Selivashka down the stairs, and then called on his like-minded people to lay flowers more quickly.

But the argument was not over. There were shouts “Traitors!” and “No, you are traitors!” near the monument. The participants of the solemn demonstration waved their hands in front of each other for some time, figuring out who of them were “true communists”. Aliaksandr Dziadzinkin left soon. However, the conflict did not grow into a fight.
