Vice-President Of European Parliament Expressed Solidarity With Charter-97

Specific measures have been taken to support freedom of speech in Belarus.

As Charter97.org was told in the office of Vice President of European Parliament Mr. Ramon Luis Valcárcel, one of the European Parliament leaders is concerned about the situation with the Charter-97 blocking.

Mr. Ramon Luis Valcárcel expressed his solidarity to Charter 97 and demonstrated his support to press freedom in Belarus by taking concrete actions, both within the European Parliament and with the European Commission.

In the near future, the Vice-President of the European Parliament intends to report on the steps taken.
