Belarusians Called To File People's Application To Celebrate Freedom Day

The application can be sent to the Minsk City Executive Committee.

Pavel Seviarynets, a representative of the National Organizing Committee for celebrating the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Belarusian People's Republic, has written on Facebook about it:

– The Minsk City Executive Committee does not want to meet with the organizers of the march on March 25. "Your application is under Shorets’ consideration, we will give you a written answer," – the officials say. They even refuse us to make an appointment with Shorets. In this regard, we ask for your help. It is necessary to send applications to the Minsk city executive committee with appeals to allow the march and the rally-concert in the format proposed by the National Organizing Committee. On March 25, Belarus will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Third Charter of the Belarusian People's Republic, which restored the independence of our country. Historians believe that it is thanks to this step that today we can talk about the Republic of Belarus as an independent state.

A number of political parties and organizations, which honor the ideals of statehood and independence of Belarus, have united in the National Organizing Committee of the BPR's 100th anniversary and agreed on a joint celebration on March 25 with a solemn, dignified mass march from Yakub Kolas Square along Independence Avenue and a rally-concert on Freedom Square . On January 25 of this year, the corresponding application was submitted to the Minsk City Executive Committee under No. 739 (695).

We urge you to give permission for the mass march and a rally-concert on March 25, 2018 in the form determined by the National Organizing Committee of the BPR's 100th anniversary: gathering from 14.00 till 14.45 on Yakub Kolas Square, a march along the four lanes of Independence Avenue and Lenin Street to Freedom Square from 14.45 till 16.00, and a rally-concert on Freedom Square from 16.00 till 18.00.
