CNN: Russians Will Launch Major Offensive In The Coming Weeks

Russia will launch ground and air attacks on Ukraine over the next few weeks, taking advantage of the time before US military aid arrives.

CNN reported this citing three officials familiar with the intelligence data.

Sources told the channel that Russia is trying to make the most of the time between the US approval of the military aid package and its actual arrival at the front.

The sources admitted that months of delay in approving assistance led to real losses for Ukraine of both people and territories.

Now the Russians, according to Western and Ukrainian officials, are planning a large-scale offensive in early summer. To achieve this, the Russian Federation continued partial mobilization.

One US military official, assessing Ukraine's prospects in the coming weeks even with military assistance, told CNN: "The best case scenario is to hold the front line."
