One Of Best Belarusian Racing Cyclists Got Caught Cheating

Kanstantsin Siutsou has failed a doping test.

Multiple champion of Belarus and one of the strongest riders of the country Kanstantsin Siutsou has failed a doping test. This is reported by his club, Bahrain-Merida, tut.by writes.

"This is a huge disappointment. This behavior is not accepted by our team," – the general manager of the club, Brent Copeland, says.

Bahrain-Merida announced that the club has suspended the rider from the competition, and his contract would not be extended.

We note that the test was done during the out-of-competition period on July 31.

36-year-old Kanstantsin Siutsou is one of the best Belarusian cyclists in history. He twice got into the top 10 of the Giro d'Italia overall standings, won the Tour of Georgia and Tour of Croatia. Siutsou’s last two seasons were spoiled by serious injuries.
