"Belarusian Nation Becomes Stronger"

One can feel the connection between the historical heroes and us today, our Belarusian nation.

Public activists from Lida district brought to the reburial of Kastus Kalinouski and his associates in Vilnius the land from the graves of rebels in Lida district, Radio Racyja reports.

Beforehand, they went to all the known places of fighting in their regionб where the rebels were buried in 1863 and took a handful of land to bury it afterwards in Vilnius, next to other participants and leaders of the uprising.

Biarozauka activist Vitold Ashurak says:

- This is a symbolic gesture. It is extremely important. It is important not only to bring part of the land of the heroes where they are sleeping now to the leader of the uprising. It is important to feel the connection between those heroes and us today, our Belarusian nation. The events of November 22 showed that there is a connection, the connection is strong and the Belarusian nation is strengthening.

It is also known that the same gesture was made by activists from Hrodna, Vileika district and other regions of Belarus.
