Lukashenka’s Drink-Team

The dictator promotes drinking.

Yesterday, during the meeting with Putin in Sochi, the topic of vodka and snacks was fully explored by Lukashenka, and then captured by the networked video of the alcomarathon in a business jet with the participation of the President of the International Chess Federation, Arkady Dvorkovich, who recently arrived in Minsk.

Toward the close of February 13, the Pool No. 3 telegram channel published a photo of Lukashenka and Putin’s resort dinner. The glasses of the dictators were filled with water or a light drink.

All that made Salidarnasts remember the past.

A well-known fact: Lukashenka has repeatedly and publicly negatively spoken about alcohol and those who abuse it. This, however, does not prevent the state from earning on alcohol for decades. A bottle of vodka still costs less than a kilogram of good sausage, Belarusians have regained the world first place in the use of strong alcohol.

And yet, in recent years, the dictator has repeatedly been photographed with a glass of beer, or with a glass of wine.

Visiting Georgia in March 2018, Lukashenka had to drink not only wine, but also stronger drinks – on the Georgian president’s Facebook, you can see scenes of brandy and, probably, chacha tasting.

During a “working lunch” with Prime Minister Georgy Kvirikashvili, Lukashenka drank red wine and something strong, looking like chacha.

The dictator was treated to young wine at the airport in Moldova in April:

From Chisinau, he took away several hundred liters of house wine from Moldovan President Igor Dodon.

After the final game of the 2018 World Cup in Moscow, Lukashenka was photographed with Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Katarovich with a glass of sparkling wine.
