Volha Nikalaichyk Detained In Minsk

Activists participated in the rally of solidarity with political prisoners.

At 10 o'clock in the evening, Volha Nikalaichyk managed to call and briefly report her arrest to a Radio Svaboda correspondent.

“I’ve just been detained near the house. Policemen have arrived, almost a bus of them, and detained me, they no longer let me speak,” – Volha Nikalaichyk said.

Yesterday, at 18 o'clock, Volha Nikalaichyk took part in a rally of solidarity with political prisoners at Kastrychnitskaya Square.

During the rally, the police did not detain the participants or warn about responsibility; there were no detentions even after the end of the rally at 18.30.

Before the start of the event, the initiator of the rally, Pavel Seviarynets, was detained, Dzmitry Palienka and Nastassia Huseva were detained when leaving the house as well.
