The Tsentralny District Court of Minsk fined Zmitser Dashkevich, who was detained during the concert in honor of Freedom Day, 45 base values, tut.by writes.

Dashkevich spent almost two days in the temporary detention facility on Akrestin Street awaiting trial. The activist was tried under Article 23.34 Part 2 (Violation of the order of organizing or holding mass events) for his speech at the concert on Freedom Day, by which he urged those present to come to Kurapaty and light a candle in memory of the victims of the repressions.

The court found Dashkevich guilty of violating Article 23.34 and fined him 1147 rubles.

Zmitser Dashkevich was detained at the concert in honor of Freedom Day in Kiev Square on March 24. Dashkevich made a speech from the stage, went down from there to join his family and in a couple of minutes he was detained by police officers in civilian clothes. For several hours, the police did not report his whereabouts neither to his wife nor to the organizers of the concert. The fact that he was in the temporary detention facility at Akrestin Street became known after 22.00.
