This is where poor administration led to.

A tragedy in Pinsk. Yes, this is exactly how it should be called. It happened exactly on the New Year’s Eve.

A loud bang, and this is it. A large-scale tragedy. For hundreds of Pinsk residents. For hundreds of families.

The Pinsk match factory, started by the Lourie brothers back in 1880, survived the First World War, the arrival of communists, the planned economy, the collapse of the Soviet Union, but it failed to survive the year 2019. This power brought it to its knees. And then they just got away with it, closed it altogether. This is it. No more such production. Pinsk matches sank in the past. Just like hundreds of the factory employees.

December 27 was the last working day at the factory. And this is a real tragedy for 300 its former employees, and for the whole little town of Pinsk.

The factory worked for 127 years, in any weather, under any ruler. And here it goes, bang. We couldn’t protect it. We were unable, or unwilling, to do it.

And how many such factories, plants, and other enterprises went down the abyss under this power in 25 years? And then all the buildings, all the objects went into somebody’s property at a meager price. Grandfathers built, created, were capable of doing things - and these people failed them.

See! This can be called nothing but a tragedy. For the people, I mean. It’s 21st century, there is progress everywhere, everything is rapidly changing.Yeah. This is where poor administration led to.

I have such a feeling. If you give the most modern enterprise into the claws of this power, they will quickly and effectively lead it to bankruptcy, with no problems, but benefit for themselves. Savages.

As for the people - this is a tragedy. All go under the knife.

Well, like everything else in this country. An overall, all-consuming tragedy everywhere.

However? I seem to be misleading you. A Christmas ice-hockey tournament named after Lukashenka starts today. All guests, come to us, at our expense. Watching the “leader” of the nation defeating everyone, watching his team getting stronger… This is everything to us!

The people? The factory? Down with them. This is not important.
