The fence of the Belarusian embassy in Washington DC turned into a memorial wall of the Belarusians brutally murdered by the Lukashenka regime.
Protests at the embassy, which began in June, are held every week and gather from 50 to 100 Belarusians living in Washington DC and bordering Maryland and Virginia. Last week the Belarusians gathered twice to pay tribute to the memory of victims of Lukashenka's criminal regime, participants in the pickets told Charter97.org.
"It's high time to end the bloody terror and reveal all those involved in these atrocities. Critical statements are no longer enough. Only an international tribunal over Lukashenka and his accomplices, the toughest targeted sanctions can break the vicious circle of impunity," says one of the protesters, Belarusian-American activist and human rights activist Vyacheslav Bortnik.
On Friday, Iryna Krasouskaya, the widow of the famous Belarusian businessman and associate of Viktor Hanchar Anatol Krasouski, killed in 1999, joined the protest.
