In this way, they supported Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
Candidate for President of Belarus Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and representatives of the Joint Headquarters Veranika Tsepkala and Maryja Kalesnikava urged Minsk citizens to come to Kiev Square at 19:00. At that time, a pro-government event was held there.
Those who came to support Tikhanouskaya raised their hands with white ribbons. Unexpectedly, Viktor Tsoi's song "Changes!" started playing. People greeted the song with applause and started coming closer to the stage.
It turned out that it was turned on by the guys who were behind the console and were involved in organizing the official event. The DJs also raised their hands up, holding white ribbons, a symbol of change, in their hands.
"We want changes! For the better. We are here voluntary-compulsory participating according to the Soviet tradition. We found out just this morning that there is some sort of event. Aren't we afraid of losing our jobs? We've already lost them," - the DJ said without regret.
